Imagine waking up somewhere you’ve always wanted to visit. Before heading out for the day, you sit down to a homemade breakfast, talk through the day’s plans, and hear Trent already getting excited about the course you’re about to play.
A few hours later, you’re standing on the first tee of a course you’ve seen in magazines, playing alongside new friends while your coach is right there with you—helping you read a shot, talking through course strategy, and giving you a few pointers when you need them.
Then the clubs go back in the car.
Maybe you’re headed to a famous landmark. Maybe you’re stopping for dinner at a restaurant you’ve never tried. Maybe you’re exploring a new town or checking into the next place you’ll stay.
That’s an Airway Hills golf trip. It’s golf, but it’s also travel, learning, food, friendship, and a whole lot of fun packed into one experience.
No two Airway Hills trips are exactly alike. We’ve traveled to places like Scotland, Hawaii, Bandon Dunes, Walla Walla, Tucson, and more, and each destination brings its own unique experiences.
But there are a few things you can expect when you travel with us. ⬇️
GOLF OBVIOUSLY..
You Play Some Seriously Good Golf!
The golf is obviously a big part of the trip.
Depending on the destination, that might mean links golf in Scotland, ocean views in Hawaii, the dramatic courses at Bandon Dunes, or ditching the cold for some Arizona sunshine.
But you’re not simply dropped off at the course and told to have fun.
Trent is there throughout the rounds—coaching, helping with course strategy, talking through shots, and encouraging you to try things you might not normally attempt.
It’s one thing to take a lesson on the driving range. It’s another thing entirely to learn how to hit a shot when you’re standing over it on an actual course, with the wind blowing, trouble on one side, and a green you’ve never seen before.
That’s one of our favorite parts of traveling for golf: you get to learn while you’re actually playing.
You don’t have to be a scratch golfer, either! In fact, these trips can be especially fun for golfers who love the game, want to improve, and enjoy learning by experiencing something new.
EXPLORING
When we’re not on the course,
we’re exploring!
Depending on where we’re headed, that might mean visiting famous landmarks, checking out local attractions, exploring a new town, taking in the scenery, or simply finding something interesting that wasn’t on the original itinerary.
Because if you’re traveling all the way to Scotland, Hawaii, Arizona, Oregon, or somewhere else you’ve always wanted to visit, you might as well experience more than the golf course.
FOOD
Great Food!
Sherri, Trents wife, has a way of making a golf trip feel a little more like you’re traveling with family than joining a tour group.
Homemade breakfasts, snacks along the way, recommendations for local restaurants, and making sure nobody starts the day hungry are all part of her job description—whether they’re officially written down or not.
We’re also big believers that trying the local food is part of experiencing a place. This means finding the restaurant everyone has been talking about or discovering a new favorite along the way.
Good golf is important… Good food is important, too!
GOLF INSTRUCTION
Dedicated Golf Instruction Time
For golfers who want dedicated instruction, we can build intentional teaching time into the trip. That might mean starting the morning with a group clinic before heading to the course, spending time on the driving range with Trent, or setting aside one-on-one time to work through something specific in your game.
And because the instruction isn’t limited to the practice area, you get opportunities to take what you’re learning straight onto the course.
It’s instruction with a purpose: learn it, try it, and see how it works on the course.
New Friends
Make Memories With New Friends
You might arrive knowing only the person you came with, or no one at all.
BUT, By the end of the trip, you could be swapping stories over dinner, cheering for each other’s good shots, laughing about the things that didn’t quite go according to plan, and making plans to play together again.
Take Grant and Lisa, for example. Lisa joined the sweetest couple, Grant and Becky, on a Hawaii Golf Trip in the fall. While on the trip, Lisa and Grant had so much fun playing alongside Trent that they decided to keep the fun going by playing together in league once they got home.
Throughout the winter, we’d hear them reminiscing about the trip—laughing about funny moments, encouraging each other, and bringing up the shots and stories they’d never live down.
They came home from Hawaii with more than great memories. They came home with a new golf buddy, too.
One of the things that makes an Airway Hills golf trip different is that you’re not traveling with a tour company where you meet a guide at the airport and see them again when the trip is over…
